Q2: ACO 5.0 - Image Compositing

GOAL: Create a unique and interesting set of 3 different composite images, each composed from at least two separate photos that blend elements of both into a new and creative subject with an intended message.

DIGITAL PORTFOLIO REFLECTION:
First, what is image compositing and why are these types of photos created? Explain the rule of thirds and how it can be used to enhance composition. Give an example of how the rule of thirds can be used incorrectly. What do professional photographers think about before taking a picture? Do you believe all photos should be edited... why or why not? (6 sentence minimum)

Then, explain the strongest message you plan to communicate through your BEST composite image concept. Describe specifically how this composite image will communicate your message. What composition, angle and/or position (CAPs) are used in the photos that make up your image composite? When your audience first views your best image composite, where do you anticipate their eye will go first and why? (6 sentence minimum)

REQUIRED VISUALS:
1) Embedded slideshow presentation of Digital Art and Concepts 1-3 at top.
2) Insert your BEST composite image below your first paragraph.
3) Insert your other two composite images before the tags.

Q2: ACO 5.0 - Visual Statement

Our team topic is Ocean Pollution & our message is for people to stop & think about polluting the ocean. This topic is important to our team because pollution the ocean not only does it affect the sea animals but also our environment. Another reason why this topic is important is also because when the ocean gets polluted the fishes eat the trash and we eat the fish & sea animals also get caught in trash/nets and get stuck and they end up dying. Our project goal is to make a video on ocean pollution and hope to make others to stop & think about what they're doing to our environment

The biggest challenge for me I guess you could say was making the beats part for our video. I thought it was going to be challenging for me because I thought that I wouldn't know how to make the beats match with the video. But for our team I think the hard part was getting clips. It's hard to get certain clips because we need to go to that place in order for us to get the clip that we needed for the video & that's what my team members did. I think that Tehinnah help come through with the video because she went to north on her own time and took a few clips and brought them to school. My favorite part about this project was actually the hard part for me..which was making the beats. It was hard but also fun because I got to make pretty cool beats with "garageband".

ACO 1.0 - Modern Art Movement

Kinetic art grew lively avant-garde after the second world war, especially following the genre-defining group exhibition La Mouvement, held in Paris 1955.  Kinetic artist's often presented works which relied on mechanized movement. I really think that this art movement thing is weird. I think this because these artist's started a movement after a world war. But I guess making a movement after a world war is a good thing.

History with kinetic art has been very deep and no one really claims to know who have created kinetic art. Honestly I have no idea what or who this person was hoping to communicate their kinetic art with or what their message is with kinetic art. Yes, I think a single artist can persuade someone's opinion. Technology has had an impact on art by helping people share their work on the internet. Technology is helping artists introduce more of their art work to audiences. The internet and digital media provides an opportunity for arts organization to extend the impact of arts.

ACO 7.0 - Workplace Safety Video

For this Workplace Safety Video, we are required to produce a 60-90 second long video. To film this video, we were placed in groups of three. Garret and Ahea were my partners for this project. The topic for our video is Proper Handling of Tools and Equipment, relating to the digital art field of course. Everyone had a role to complete this task. I was in charge of writing the digital portfolio, Garret did the editing and music and Ben helped film.Garrett, because he did the music part and the editing part. He did his best and they came out very good. Garrett also helped write out the script and they also came out good.

In this project, I learned how to carefully treat a computer. I also learned to not to touch the computer and other things like when you take it out use two hands not one, also don't swing it around etc. I think that my team and I could've gotten a better score if everyone was here. During the project one of our partner wouldn't be here or someone would be missing during project.

ACO 5.0 - Coding Altino Cars

GOAL: Complete all 3 coding challenges using Arduino Software with Altino cars.
Challenge 1: Complete a figure 8 pattern without collisions... fastest time wins!
Challenge 2: Ambulance responds to an accident... with lights, sirens and SPEED!
Challenge 3: Time to show off your best autonomous driving tricks... Your choice!

Week 8-9 DIGITAL PORTFOLIO REFLECTION:
Why is coding an important skill to learn, even if you don't plan to be a programmer? Explain Challenge #1 and tell us about the logic statement you used to tackle it. Describe each command (Go, Steering, Delay) that was required to program your Altino car to complete the figure 8. How did you feel working through the process of trial and error? (6 Sentence minimum)

Describe the new commands that were required to successfully complete Challenge #2 (While Loop, Array, Display Line, Sound). Would you ever trust an autonomous vehicle to give you a ride... please explain your answer. Do you think autonomous vehicles will be used in the future to carry out complex tasks like an ambulance responding to accidents... why or why not? (6 Sentence minimum)

REQUIRED VISUALS:
Embedded Google Drive video of your most impressive challenge at the top
Screenshot of successful code from Challenge #2 after first paragraph
3 Behind the Scenes photos of your team after second paragraph

ACO 3.0 - Art and Design

There are seven elements of art and they're line, color, form, shape, value, space, and texture. I'm not sure how to explain how ever element is used but I know that they're used in the assignment. The size of my texture brush is the same, I didn't change the size of my brush so basically I used the same size for tracing the whole cup. What I enjoy most about this project is just tracing the picture. The part that I think is boring about this assignment... I don't think any part of it is boring at all because i'm just tracing. A challenging part about this assignment tho is when I have to concentrate and try my best to stay on the line. I think it's challenging because I'm using a pad and a pen to trace which is pretty difficult.

Well as you can see this photo that Mr.Sanderl took at the time was at the beach. The difference between the landscape photo and my still photo is that I drew my still photo. My landscape photo looks like it has been drawn but I didn't I used photoshop to make it look like that. Both of my photos look like they have been drawn but only one has been drawn and traced. While drawing/tracing my still photo I stayed with the more basic tools through out the whole tutorial, I haven't changed anything or used any special filter everything is all the same. While sticking to one thing through out the whole process I think the outcome of it looked pretty good, it doesn't look that bad.

The portrait that I am using it includes one of my oldest brothers in here. This portrait was taken on his graduation day, and it includes one of my brothers. This portrait means a lot to me because it shows my brother in his cap n gown and he's about to graduate. This image uses all seven elements of art because theres line, texture etc. and it has everything the 7 elements of art is about. Somewhat I agree with my results, they're as not as bad as i thought it would be but at the same time I feel like I could have done better and get a better grade/result.

ACO 5.0 - Audio Production

In this assignment my role I played in as was the script writer. This job required me to write me and my teams script on what we are going to say so we can record it for our project. This rehearsal process is very important because we only have one chance to record and we can't mess it up. In one take me and my team has to record our selves reading our script, if we mess up we can edit it but we are not able to record our selves again.

Then, reflect on your results from the critique. How well did your team meet the project goal of communicating a specific message to your audience while keeping them engaged? What obstacles did you face along the way and what did you do to overcome them? If you had to do this project again with the same group of people, what would you do to improve? (6 Sentence minimum).
